Flash Flood — Thomas, GA

Jun 6, 2012

The combination of a weakening frontal boundary moving slowly southward and the afternoon sea breeze moving slowly northward resulted in a nearly stationary west-east line of thunderstorms. With weak steering winds and high precipitable water values just under 2.00 inches, storms stalled right over Thomasville and produced significant flash flooding.
