A series of thunderstorms, preceding a slowing cold front, during the afternoon of the 26th moved across the Poconos. They not only produced severe weather, but also flash flooding in several municipalities across western Carbon and southeast Monroe County. Many roadways and basements were flooded and this included at least one road washout.
