A complex pattern was in place across Iowa during the afternoon of the 8th with two MCV's moving through the area. One lifted northeast across northeast Nebraska, the other lifted out of Kansas and tracked across the southern Iowa border during the evening. In addition, there were numerous boundaries across the area. One was the principal front extending east-west across northern Iowa.
