A deep tap of monsoon moisture combined with a weak upper level disturbance to produce localized flash flooding and strong storms over many parts of northern and central New Mexico. A particularly slow moving, heavy thunderstorm around the Magdalena Mountains produced flash flooding along forest service road 101.
