Flash Flood — Webster, WV

A disturbance in the winds aloft tracked into the mountainous counties by late afternoon. This feature, along with outflow boundaries from earlier afternoon convection, helped to focus thunderstorms. Local downpours occurred around Webster Springs of Webster County, Mill Creek of Randolph County, and Avondale of McDowell County. The most serious flash flooding was around Webster Springs.
