A man was seriously injured when he was struck by lightning outside the Hebrew Educational Alliance as he and his family were getting in their car. The victim stopped breathing but was saved when his wife performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on him immediately following the lightning strike. He suffered burns to 15 percent of his body which included his legs, chest, abdomen and neck. Lightning also caused 48 outages in Denver which affected 6,582 Xcel Energy customers.
