The remnants of Hurricane Isaac brought heavy rain and thunderstorms with isolated damaging winds. A southwesterly low level jet around 40 knots persisted along the southeastern flank of the circulation from Isaac. The stronger low level winds were co-located with an axis of moderate instability, where mixed-layer capes ranged from 1500 to 2000 j/kg.
