Flash Flood — Halifax, NC

A band of moderate to heavy rain pivoted over central and northern portions of the North Carolina coastal plain during the early morning hours of the 25th as a low pressure center tracked north along the North Carolina Coast. While a large rainfall swath of 2 to 5 inches fell across the area, the heaviest rainfall was focused across northern Halifax County where 8 to 12 inches was observed.
