An intense nor'easter brought strong to high winds across most of central and southern New Jersey on the 6th into the 7th as well as minor to moderate tidal flooding along Raritan Bay, lower Delaware Bay and on the ocean side. The coastal flooding was exacerbated by wave action as waves off of Barnegat (Ocean County) reached 15 feet and seas offshore 25 feet. The coastal flooding caused new breaches in Mantoloking, flooded roadways and prompted some voluntary evacuations in Monmouth and Ocean Co

Post Tropical Cyclone Ida brought heavy rain to New Jersey on September 1. Rainfall totals were as high as 5 to 10 inches. The heavy rain caused significant flash flooding, mainly in the northern half of the state. It resulted in widespread property damage.
