A fast-moving intense storm dropped 1/2 inch to 6/10 of an inch of rain in a 15-minute time frame across Waldo and Williams Canyons in the Waldo Canyon burn scar. The result was a debris flow across the westbound lanes of US Highway 24 northwest of Manitou Springs, and flooding across north central Manitou Springs. US Highway 24 was closed to westbound traffic for nearly two hours and Manitou Avenue into Manitou Springs was closed for a time. Three houses were destroyed and 10 were damaged. T
