Thunderstorms formed over the Devils Lake region along a cold frontal boundary and low pressure system. Storms also initiated along the warm front which extended down into southeast North Dakota. Afternoon temperatures topped out in the low to mid 80s with dew points around 70. By mid evening of the 25th the storm tracked into the northwest quarter of Minnesota. Many reports of large hail, strong winds, and heavy rain were received.
