A series of slow-moving thunderstorms pushed southeast across the Thompson Ridge burn scar during the early to mid afternoon hours. Heavy rainfall overwhelmed several creeks in the area producing flash flooding along the western periphery of the burn scar. Flash flooding was observed along Forest Service Road 105 where culverts were destroyed due to mud and debris. Elk Valley Estates was also impacted by a significant torrent of water, mud, and debris however no structures were lost.
