After several days of repeated rainfall, strong thunderstorms produced significant flash flooding across portions of Knox County during the evening of May 28th. The hardest hit location was the city of Galesburg, where many city streets flooded, leading to several stranded motorists. Numerous homes and businesses, including Carl Sandburg College sustained considerable flood damage.
