The upper level trough remained in place over the center of the country, with a Bermuda high to the east, leaving the Southeast in a continued prolonged, moist tropical flow. Showers and thunderstorms developed again in the afternoon hours, with one thunderstorm dropping enough rain to result in flash flooding.
