Showers and thunderstorms developed along and ahead of a warm front. A severe thunderstorm over Chautauqua County produced winds that downed trees and power lines at the Chautauqua Institute and just east of Kennedy. The thunderstorms also resulted in brief periods of very heavy rain in some locations with one to three inches of rain falling in less than three hours. Roads were flooded and washout out in parts of Jamestown, New Albion, and Randolph.
