A nearly stationary band of thunderstorms developed across northeast Iowa during the evening of June 21st. These storms remained in place until another line of storms pushed in from the west during the early morning hours of the 22nd. Rainfall amounts exceeded four inches with flash flooding reported in parts of Allamakee and Clayton Counties. A campground outside of McGregor (Clayton County) suffered extensive damage with numerous picnic tables washed away, a bathroom destroyed, part of a road
