A moist and unstable airmass and an upper level disturbance brought a third straight day of thunderstorms to western and central Wyoming. The strongest thunderstorm formed over the Absaroka Range and become severe as it moved east across the Big Horn Basin and into Johnson County. There were numerous reports of large hail in a swath from near Barnum to Midwest with the largest stones being ping pong ball sized in Midwest. The storm also brought wind gusts up to 60 mph.
