Thunderstorms developed during the morning along a lake breeze. The nearly stationary thunderstorm dropped one to two inches of rain over the Towns of Brocton, Pomfret and Portland. Over 40 homes were evacuated because of flood waters with several roads and bridges damaged. The Town of Brocton���s reservoir was also damaged.
