Afternoon convection again bubbled up over southwest Virginia in evening hours of the 12th with very heavy rains over the City of Galax, Grayson and Carroll counties where 2 to 3 inch rains fell. Several flooding reports were received. Several gauges in the Galax area had over 2 inches for the period ending 0700 EDT on the 13th.
