A diffuse frontal boundary lingered just north of the Altamaha River basin. with light SSE steering flow over the area. Precipitable water content was high around 2 inches. Light steering flow, high moisture content, and low level forcing from the front and sea breezes produced locally heavy, flooding rainfall in Jesup.
