Slow moving thunderstorms produced very heavy rain over western Upstate South Carolina, triggering areas of flash flooding. One fatality resulted from a car being swept into a flooded stream. An automated rain gauge 4 miles west of Clemson recorded 3.83 inches of rain in around a two hour period.
