Aug 28, 2013
A warm and very humid airmass was in place across the region on the afternoon of August 28th. There was little in the way of shear and upper dynamics so storms which formed were very slow moving and produced very heavy rain in a short period of time. A thunderstorm in the Lebanon area produced 3 inches of rain in 1 hour causing flooding and road washouts. Several cars were stranded on Route 12A in West Lebanon.
