A weak cold front dropping south through the region was the focus for afternoon and evening convection. High precipitable water values combined with weak shear to produced slow moving thunderstorms and very heavy rain. 3.75 inches of rain in one hour resulted road flooding and washouts in the Alexandria and Bridgewater areas of Grafton County.
