Heavy rain falling on snow remaining from the October 3-5 blizzard caused flooding over portions of western South Dakota. One to three inches of rain fell on October 10 and 11. The runoff and melted snow caused flash flooding in Keystone and flooding along creeks and streams on the plains of western South Dakota.
