Due to the very heavy rains which fell across the upper reaches of the Nueces River watershed, major river flooding was the result between Asherton and the headwaters of Lake Corpus Christi. The Nueces River at Asherton recorded a crest of 29.70 feet on the 14th. This is the 5th highest all-time crest on record for Asherton.
