A series of convective episodes along a stationary boundary brought repeated heavy rains to southern Indiana from late evening on the 2nd of April through the morning hours on April 4th. Overall, widespread 36 hour rainfall totals exceeded 5 inches across a substantial portion of southern Indiana and northern Kentucky along the Ohio River northeast of Louisville.
