Glasscock County was probably the most affected county in the region by the flooding. Almost the entire county received in excess of 2 inches of rain with the northwest half (about 400 square miles) of the county getting inundated with around 6 inches of rain. Much of this rainfall collected in Mustang Draw that flowed northward into Howard County where the vehicle fatalities occurred.
