Minor flooding again developed over parts of the Cedar River Basin from June 9 through the 12th. Moderate to heavy rainfall moved across the region, causing the Winnebago, West Fork Cedar, and eventually the Cedar at Waterloo to exceed their flood stages. Initial River forecast Center forecasts indicated the possibility of moderate flooding, especially on the Winnebago at Mason City, but the crest was less than a foot over flood stage on the 11th.
