Flash Flood — Val Verde, TX

Very slow moving showers and thunderstorms developed shortly after sunrise over the western parts of South Central Texas on the morning of the 18th. Rainfall totals across the five county area ranged from 2 to 4 inches with isolated reports of up to 5 inches. Flash flooding closed numerous low water crossings with the most serious problems along Highway 55 between Camp Wood in Real County and Rocksprings in Edwards County. Highway 90 was also closed in places between Del Rio in Val Verde Coun
