A second round of thunderstorms cross the area during the early afternoon hours. The heavy rains that fell on already saturated ground resulted in flash flooding in Monroe and Wayne Counties. In Webster, for example, four to six inches of water covered Schlegel Road. Road closures were common in the area for several hours.
