Jun 25, 2014
Warm moist air ahead of a slow moving cold front supported storms with torrential rain June 23rd through midday on the 25th. Numerous thunderstorms produced rainfall amounts around 1 to 2 inches during that time. For areas that saw training thunderstorms rainfall amounts exceeded 4 inches. Heavy rain and floods the week before had kept grounds saturated in many areas, so this additional rainfall was sufficient to cause flash floods.
