A wide band of thunderstorms, oriented from west to east, moved east across the same areas for a few hours during the nighttime hours. Rainfall amounts were 2 to 3.5 inches in many places, with isolated amounts near 7 inches at Carbondale. Another band of thunderstorms with heavy rain during the early morning hours prolonged flooding into part of the morning.
