A strong upper level long wave trough moved through the southeast states and produced a large area of 4 to 6 inches of rain over portions of southeast Alabama. This was rain was spread out over a several hour period, so although flash flooding was minimal, some areal flooding did occur in portions of Dale county. This resulted in road damage of at least $50,000.
