Slow moving thunderstorms over east central and northeast San Diego County dropped over 1.6 inches of rain in less than 45 minutes. Flash flooding was observed in Hellhole and Palm Canyons in the San Ysidro Mountains just west of Borrego Springs and in most of the washes located in the Anza Borrego Desert State Park.
