The first significant rainfall of the season brought over an inch of rain to the coastal sections during the morning hours. Storm drains were quickly clogged by debris that had accumulated during the preceding months. Minor flooding occurred in Seal Beach and Sunset Beach. Traffic accidents during the morning commute hour were twice the normal amount (89 in Orange County and 95 in San Diego County).
