Numerous trees and power lines were blown down across the entire county. Several vehicles were destroyed by the downed trees. Many businesses and homes were also damaged by the trees. Alabama Power estimated that 90,000 customers were without power for an extended period of time. A few reports were received of dime size hail during the storms. Numerous roads and low lying regions throughout the Birmingham Metro area were temporarily flooded. Many vehicles were stranded in the high water.
