South central Alabama received four to eight inches of rain in a short period of time. The heavy rainfall caused significant flooding in Autauga, Elmore, and Montgomery Counties. One of the hardest hit areas was Prattville. Emergency Management officials estimated at least 100 homes were damaged and a dozen received major damage.
