Flash Flood — Randolph, WV

The heavy rain fell during the late night hours, ahead of a warm front. The runoff drained into several different river basins, the West Fork, the Tygart Valley, the Little Kanawha, the Elk, and the Greenbrier. The Red Cross and the state, aided residents in flood recovery. By month's end, Hacker Valley had 9 inches of rain, with Kumbrabow State Forest 8.9 inches, and Pickens 8.4 inches.
