An upper level low over the eastern Great Lakes and western New York and it's related surface low pressure system resulted in showers and thunderstorms across Vermont during the afternoon and night of Sunday July 16th. Slow moving thunderstorms resulted in especially heavy rainfall...especially across the mountainous portions of the county.
