As a strong upper level low pressure system settled into New Mexico early on the morning of May 26th, a region of strong upper level divergence between two jet streams aloft was focused over the Victoria Crossroads area. Abundant moisture flowed into the region with a strong southerly low level flow. An area of intense thunderstorms formed over the Victoria area during the morning hours.
