A late season mid to upper level low moved through the southern plains. Jet streaks around this low provided enough lift to produce thunderstorms across South Central Texas. Some thunderstorms produced severe size hail. Surface flow off the Gulf of Mexico produced a very moist environment which led to heavy rainfall and flash flooding.
