Ice jam and snowmelt flooding continued over much of central Iowa during the last two weeks of March. The South Skunk, North Raccoon, and Ice Rivers were the most affected. Ice jams, while not severe, caused substantial difficulties with river gaging equipment and made forecasting a challenge as well.
