The Red River near Alexandria was above flood stage for over three weeks, cresting at 35.52 feet on the 13th. Areas unprotected by the levee system had as much as ten feet of water in them, primarily in the Pineville area and Bayou Rigolette areas. Rescues of trapped cows and horses were common, but there were no reports of human injuries.
