A wet weather pattern continued in North Texas during the first part of September. Numerous slow moving showers and thunderstorms developed over the region, bringing heavy rain and flooding. One thunderstorm developed near downtown Fort Worth during the evening rush hour on the 4th. This storm brought very heavy rain and flash flooding, forcing road closures and some high water rescues.
