Hydrologic Outlooks (ESF) for heavy rainfall were issued late on the 9th and early on the 10th ,as forecasts indicated the possibility of 1 to 3 inches of rain over south central Iowa, in an area where substantial rains fell earlier in the week. The advertised rains developed during the early morning hours of the 11th , as showers and some embedded thunderstorms dropped widespread moderate to heavy rains across most of the HSA.
