A complex of strong to severe thunderstorms developed over the southwestern portions of the Lake of the Ozarks region during the afternoon and early evening of April 19th and moved slowly eastward over Camden, Maries, Miller, Phelps and Pulaski counties. The airmass was very moist which allowed for the storms to produce torrential rainfall in a short period of time.
