Morning rains deposited a half inch to over an inch, before ending by midday. Some minor flooding occurred in southern West Virginia, plus combined with snow melt in Pocahontas County. Warmer air surged into the state during the afternoon. A strong low pressure storm system lifted northeast through the upper Ohio River Valley.
