A nearly stationary thunderstorm produced extremely heavy rain across southern York county during the evening of June 13. Maximum rainfall estimates from doppler radar indicated 8 to 10 inches fell in the town of Fawn Grove, with 5 to 6 inches in the Sunnyburn area. Local fire officials in Fawn Grove reported 6 inches of rain in 1 hour. 1.99 inches of rain was reported in Peach Bottom.
