Flash Flood — Roger Mills, OK

Showers and thunderstorms produced rainfall totals of 3 to 5 inches in parts of western Oklahoma including Ellis and Roger Mills counties. Three-inch rainfall amounts were recorded in two hours during the afternoon of the 19th in Ellis County. The heavy rains fell over soils that had been previously saturated by precipitation a few days before, and the resulting runoff produced bankfull conditions along small creeks in the region, and temporarily halted the wheat harvest.
