High pressure returned to a favorable location over New Mexico, increasing moisture across southeast Arizona, with precipitable water values ranging from 1.2 to 1.6. Plenty of daytime heating and favorable east to southeast steering flow helped storms to develop early in the day, especially across Pima and Santa Cruz Counties.
